Since ancient times, the Chinese character“Tao”of Taoyuan has been always closely related to the Chinese New Year. It means peach in Chinese and also represents spring couplets. Peach tree symbolizes longevity and peach wood is said to ward off evil. That is the reason why we recommend visiting Taoyuan(“Peach Garden”)to bring good luck. During the Chinese New Year, one of the must-do activities is to visit a temple to asking that all will go well in the year to come.
